Hi, I’m Peter, an artist based in West Lothian, Scotland. I work primarily in oil paint or soft pastel creating portrait, wedding bouquet and floral artworks for people who want to mark something important in their lives with a personal, lasting artwork made with thoughtful consideration.

A lot of my work sits around flowers, people and places that matter to someone — a face that carries emotional connections, a wedding bouquet that was treasured for a day, but remembered for decades, or a single flower that’s been lovingly tended for months, in a garden shaped over years. I like painting subjects that already have a story attached to them.

I’m drawn to work that’s quiet but emotionally present. Painting, for me, is a way of paying attention — to colour, tone, texture, and to small details that are easy to overlook, but hard to forget once noticed. Whether I’m working from life, photographs or a mix of both, the aim is always the same: to make something that feels generous and considered.
